Text ads come in many forms. Probably the most familiar to most people are Google Ads. However, text ads are also seen on many traffic exchanges, and text ad sites are popping up everywhere.
It’s easy to recognize sites like Screen Tag as text ad sites, but there are other sites that wouldn’t normally be thought of for text ads. - Make your text ads short. You want to get the attention of your viewer, and people may not bother to read it if it’s too long.
- Follow the guidelines of the site you are on. Many sites limit the number of characters in text ads. If you copy and paste without checking your ad length, your ad might get cut off in the middle.
- Use keywords in your text ads as often as possible. You should use words that people would search for. People search for descriptive terms more often than site name.
- Lastly, never write your text ads in all capital letters. It’s the online equivalent of yelling. No one like to be yelled at.
So, using text ads along with banner ads and traffic exchanges will give you more well rounded advertising for your site.
